Experience of the stay
This was our first time using this hotel with our family of four, including a 2-year-old and a 5-year-old who are not yet in school.
Since we live in Osaka, I had been interested in this hotel for a while but had postponed actually booking a stay. I'm now regretting not using it sooner, as our stay was nothing short of wonderful!
As everyone knows, there are free drinks, wooden toys, picture books, and space for the kids to run around, so they were all set on saying, 'let's go there next!'
Meanwhile, we parents were quite happy with the ability to toast at any time! With small kids, it's challenging to go out drinking, and our chances to slowly enjoy drinks outdoors had significantly decreased. So, having a cold beer while playing with the kids in a different atmosphere was the best! The weather was lovely, and from the free drink space, we could see the cherry blossoms in full bloom, creating a blissful moment.
For dinner, there happened to be a cherry blossom festival in the adjacent park, where we bought various things and enjoyed a relaxed meal in our room. The kids took out a kids' plate (¥1,800) from the hotel restaurant. It looked really delicious, but they started eating the moment we placed it on the table, so I couldn’t take a picture (cry). It seemed they thoroughly enjoyed it!
Since the hotel's food looked very appetizing as well, I plan to try that on our next visit!
Personally, I thought it would be great to come for a stay just with adults to enjoy the interesting board games from around the world!
Experiences during the trip
On the first day, we took a leisurely stroll around the area and procured breakfast for the next day from the famous bakery SHIZUYA. Since their carne is well-known, we bought one of each type. They were delicious! We bought soft serve ice cream at SHIZUYA and enjoyed it while cherry blossom viewing in the adjacent park before checking into our hotel.
The next day, we headed to the nearby Kyoto Aquarium from the morning. Even though it was Sunday, it was relatively empty, allowing us to take our time exploring with the kids. The display area for the sea lions and seals was adorable, and even though it was our third visit, we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Being close by meant we didn't have to rush and could play leisurely, making for a very satisfying holiday.
