The historic Ryokan Sanjiro has been nurtured together with Mt. Zao for 300 years. Surrounded by magnificent nature, you can spend a moment of healing for both body and soul. We will treat you with all our heart in a relaxed atmosphere, like a holiday home. Ryokan Sanjiro is located on a small hill in the center of the Togatta hot spring resort, and is the only inn in Japan with a 230-degree view of the Zao mountain range. The large public bath with an open-air bath has a tatami-floored “kappa no yu” (kappa's bath) and a cypress-scented cypress bath “tougen no yu” (peach blossom hot spring). From every bath, you can see the Zao mountain range from the foot to the top, and the magnificent mountain range viewed from the open-air bath changes its appearance in each of the four seasons, and will surely release your mind and body from the tension of everyday life. The guest rooms are pure Japanese-style rooms with a sense of calm that exude the spirit of Japan at every turn. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel and in the guest rooms.
