This “machinaka ryokan” was born in this city that has cherished its Japanese character while embracing new culture. The entrance is designed in the image of a “tataki” Japanese-style house, and the low-lighting reproduces the atmosphere of 1872, when Japan's first gas light was turned on in Bashamichi. The interior is decorated in dark colors to create a relaxing space. While retaining the traditional furnishings of a Japanese house, such as tatami mats, shoji screens, and latticework, a low bed with pocket coils lulls the modern traveler into a deep sleep. All rooms are equipped with a bathtub with a washing area to relieve travelers' fatigue. After bathing, guests are provided with our original loungewear, which is more functional than samue. It is more functional than samue and thicker than pajamas. It is a finish that can be worn outside the hotel as well. We welcome you not only for its appearance, but also for its aroma, sound, and texture.Rooms
