Experience of the stay
I arrived at this hotel with a large public bath before going to a live event. I took the Shinkansen to Shinagawa, from where I took the Keikyu Line and got off at Aomonoyokocho Station to head to the hotel. After strolling through the lively streets in the evening for about 10 minutes, I spotted the Komeda Coffee shop on the first floor of the hotel. The room was very clean, and there was plenty of space. I picked up the necessary amenities from the front desk, and as soon as I entered the room, I made some tea, and it smelled wonderful! It was delicious, and moments like this in the room make me really feel at ease. Since it was a weekday, I had the large public bath all to myself both in the evening and the next morning! Though there are three washing stations, the bathtub is compact but offers an open-air bath and a jacuzzi. Soaking in the warm water by myself, I was able to wash away the fatigue of everyday life. It was a luxurious moment of relaxation. I’m really grateful for being able to extend my stay for another day thanks to the coins accumulated with Hafh. On days like this, I fully indulge in enjoying my hotel stay. This time I also had the hotel’s breakfast buffet. There were regular Japanese and Western food options, as well as curry. Personally, I appreciated the handmade feel of the stir-fried and simmered dishes. There were various small breads, and I tried one sweet roll, which was tasty. It was a pity that I couldn't eat more in the morning. I didn’t have time this time, but I actually wanted to go to the Komeda on the first floor... I hear they can also deliver to the room! Also, they had a hair straightener available for borrowing, which is great for women. It was a beautiful hotel, and I had a really soothing time. If I come to Shinagawa again, I would love to stay here.
Experiences during the trip
For dinner, I went to Pizzeria Baccomunica, which is about a 5-minute walk away. It's a famous restaurant, and it's better to make a reservation. Even though it was a weekday night, customers with reservations kept arriving. The authentic pizza oven in the restaurant catches the eye. I had a Margherita pizza. It was the best pizza I've ever had by far, with the thin crust being aromatic. Both the cheese and the sauce were delicious, and I finished a small size all by myself in no time. I heard that some women eat three pizzas! Hmm, I think I could do that too...! Besides pizza, there are various other dishes that all looked delicious. There were plenty of craft beers from Japan and abroad... I was really torn on what to choose. One visit wasn’t enough, and I would want to stay at this hotel again just to visit this place. Highly recommended!
