Experience of the stay
On our way back from Kochi to Osaka, we stayed overnight in Tokushima. We booked two rooms for 2 adults and 2 children (a 3rd grader and a 5th grader).
There were many dining options around Tokushima Station.
We arrived late at night by car, and since the affiliated parking lot was full, we had to park elsewhere. We called for guidance and parked at a nearby coin parking lot.
We were able to choose our favorite amenities during check-in and take them to our room.
The room and bath were very spacious and nice! I would love to stay again if I have the chance ✨
Experiences during the trip
Just a 5-minute drive to the Awa Odori Hall, or about a 10-minute walk.
Various groups perform Awa Odori every day. We bought tickets and spent time at the shop on the first floor buying souvenirs, and visited the Awa Odori Museum on the third floor. We practiced taiko drums in a fun way at the experience booth and enjoyed Awa Odori in VR.
When the time came, we headed to the hall on the second floor.
We watched a performance by the exclusive group 'Awa no Kaze' and were impressed by their dancing skills!
And guess what... we got to dance together at the end! Haha. At first, the kids were shy, but everyone gathered in the hall, and as we danced in a circle, we all had fun and ended up smiling. "Ayyattasah! Ayyattayat!" If we're going to act foolish, let's dance!
If it were sunny, I wanted to ride the Mt. Bizan ropeway from the fifth floor.
Feeling hungry, we had Tokushima ramen before heading home.
It was a very enjoyable trip that made me truly feel the essence of Tokushima.
