An inn where you can relax and enjoy Awaji Island

Umekiya is an inn located along the west coast of Awaji Island. It is a small inn with only 5 private rooms. Originally, it was a cooking inn called "Umekiya Ryokan" that has been around since the Meiji era. At that time, it was so familiar to local people that it was used for weddings and close gatherings. Regrettably, we decided to take down the sign. Then, in December 2019, we renovated it while retaining the taste of the old inn and started a new inn as "Umekiya". While feeling the atmosphere of the times, we are trying to create such a space that adapts to today's travel style. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we hope that you will be able to spend a relaxing time not only in Umekiya but also in the entire town of Toshi. 【Precautions for accommodation】 ■ About rooms and baths ・ There is no shower, toilet or washroom in the room, and it will be shared. ・The guest rooms are on the 2nd floor, but the toilet and shower are on the 1st floor. ・ There is no bathtub in the bath, only a shower. Customers are asked to make a reservation for one hour at a time, and they will be able to enter on a private basis. ・ There is a hot spring facility 5 minutes by car, and discount coupons are given. ■ About meals ・Dinner is not included. We introduce restaurants in the neighborhood. (1) Otafuku 5 minutes walk　 　　　Set meals during the day, and a friendly general in the tavern at night. The famous "octopus tempura" and "sawara bowl" are especially recommended! (2) Yoshi 3 minutes walk　 　　　This is the place to taste Awaji beef. There is a wide variety of menus and private rooms, so it is recommended for children. (3) Haruyoshi 5 minutes walk　 　　　Recommended for those who want to enjoy sushi and seasonal local fish. It's a popular restaurant, so reservations are required! (4) Kappo Hato 3 minutes walk　 　　　One Michelin star. Careful dishes that are particular about the ingredients are clean and delicate. Reservations are required at least one day in advance. ・Breakfast is served for 1,000 yen per meal (payment on site). If you wish, please let us know the number of meals by message. There are small supermarkets and convenience stores within walking distance. ■ About amenities ・Shampoo, body soap, treatment, bath towels, and face towels are available in the shower room. ・ Toothbrushes will be charged (50 yen). ・There is no yukata robe. ■ Other information ・Free parking is available. ・ We do not dare to install a TV. Enjoy some quiet time. ・ It is located along the west coast, so if you go a little, you can see the sunset over the Seto Inland Sea. It is a 5-minute walk to the coast, so it is recommended to take a walk in the morning and evening.
