A special room above Shibuya | Hotel Indigo Shibuya Tokyo, where you’ll be immersed in the city and art.

The view from the room, the art-like space, the Shibuya-esque dinner, and even Hachiko waffles.

With HafH, you can enjoy a slightly more adventurous stay above Shibuya.

In this article, we will introduce our two-day, one-night stay at Hotel Indigo Shibuya Tokyo, based on the actual accommodation experience of the HafH Crew.

We hope this will help you change your mood while in Tokyo, or give you some ideas when you’re unsure about your next travel destination.

A one-of-a-kind hotel overlooking the hustle and bustle of Shibuya

Hotel Indigo Shibuya Tokyo is a hotel that is literally “high above Shibuya.” Check-in is on the 12th floor, and the guest rooms are on the 13th to 28th floors, making it a special location where you can stay close to the sky, even though you’re in the middle of the city.

Enter through the entrance on the third floor, walk past the cafe and head to the elevator at the back. Once you reach the 12th floor, you’ll find a pop and stylish lobby, where you’ll feel like you’ve seamlessly blended into Shibuya culture.

The check-in counter has an appearance somewhat reminiscent of a fashion atelier. The materials, reminiscent of denim and leather, and even the dimming of the lighting have been carefully considered to create a space where discerning adults can feel comfortable.

A design space where art and culture intersect

There is art everywhere in the museum that will stop you in your tracks.
The wall art in the lobby, the denim fringe hanging from the ceiling, the record shelves lining the walls…

Each piece is reminiscent of Shibuya’s street culture, yet tastefully arranged, making you feel as if you’re in a gallery. Every spot is picturesque.

Enjoy the Shibuya cityscape all to yourself. View from your room and how to spend your time

View from the room and how to spend your time This time I stayed in a King Premium Room.

The first thing you’ll see when you open the door is the view of the sky and cityscape that spreads across the large windows. Even in Shibuya, where skyscrapers line the streets, it’s rare to find such a spacious view.

If the weather is good, there are apparently rooms with views of Mt. Fuji.

The interior is calming, with natural wood and linen materials as the base, creating a comfortable space that will make you feel like you’re relaxing. It’s a room that you’ll want to call “your own special seat in the sky above Shibuya.”

One of the things Hotel Indigo Shibuya Tokyo is focusing on is “a stay with music.” Record players and records are available to rent free of charge in the guest rooms.

If you see a song that catches your eye, feel free to ask a member of staff. Playing music while choosing your own “Shibuya playlist” is like a scene from a movie.

Sitting by the window with a cup of coffee in hand in the morning and gazing out at the city, or surrendering yourself to the sight of Shibuya’s swaying neon lights at night, are special experiences that can only be enjoyed here.

When the sun goes down, the atmosphere of the room changes completely. The large windows reflect the night view of Shibuya with its flickering neon lights. In contrast to the excitement of the daytime, a somewhat quiet and sentimental time begins to flow.

There are “hidden Hachikos” hiding around the museum – how many can you find?

At Hotel Indigo Shibuya Tokyo, Shibuya’s symbol, Hachiko, is quietly lurking here and there.

They may be part of the art, or hidden among the lighting and decorations. Their playful gimmicks will surely bring a smile to your face. Sharpen your senses and try to see how many you can find.

A stylish gym area to organize your spare time

The gym on the 12th floor is a stylish space with impressive art on the walls. Working out in the bright light will naturally improve your mood. This is a great point for those who want to maintain their routine even while traveling.

Enjoy Shibuya at night. Dinner experience at a restaurant

For dinner, we went to the restaurant “Gallery 11” on the 11th floor. The entire space is like a work of art, and you can’t help but be captivated by the beauty of the details.

The indoor seating has a relaxed atmosphere, and the art on the walls with a Shibuya motif is impressive. On the terrace, you can enjoy the Shibuya sky and the night breeze.

Both course and a la carte dining options are available, but this time we chose the a la carte option.choiceThe food was beautifully presented and each dish was beautifully and carefully prepared, and it felt like there was a story behind each dish.

A must-try is the Signature Cocktail “Hachikou.” The mellowness of honey and the lingering aftertaste of herbs combine to create a drink that exudes Shibuya’s playfulness and elegance.

On a summer evening, when a cool breeze blows through the hot air, the terrace of “Gallery 11” is the best place to feel that comfort.

Enjoying a drink while being blown by the night breeze was a special moment, as if the scenery and time were slowly unravelling.

Choose your favorite main dish and buffet breakfast

Breakfast is also served at Gallery 11. Enjoying breakfast while looking out over the Shibuya cityscape in the soft light is a little treat in itself.

The menu includes a buffet of salads and bread, as well as a choice of main dishes such as “Shibuya Scramble Honey Toast” and “Frittata.”

This time, I chose the recommended “Shibuya Scramble Honey Toast.” The gorgeous appearance and fragrant truffles stimulated my appetite, giving me a solid energy boost in the morning.

If you like cafes, you’ll want to stop by Shibrewya

The cafe “Shibrewya” on the third floor of the hotel is like a hideaway that can be enjoyed not only by guests staying at the hotel, but also by those who just drop in for the cafe.

The interior of the store carries on the artistic theme of the entire hotel, and the coffee and baked goods are also carefully selected.

The highlight of the cafe is the freshly baked waffles in the shape of Hachiko. With their cute appearance and delicious aroma, you’ll want to take a photo of them. This is the perfect spot to take a break before checking in or to cool down after your stay.

A high-quality stay in Shibuya is also available at HafH!

Hotel Indigo Shibuya Tokyo can also be booked through HafH. While most luxury hotels cost several tens of thousands of yen per night, the appeal of HafH is that you can stay here without worrying about the price by using the coins you have accumulated through a fixed rate plan.

If you want to refresh yourself on the weekend or have some quiet time in the city, or if you feel like “giving yourself over to some quality time once in a while,” this is the place for you.

I’m sure this stay will add a little extra richness to your everyday life.
