A blend of old and new, traditional and modern. TAKIGAHARA CRAFT AND STAY is a 100 year old farmhouse converted into a temple of design.

A community of people crafting and creating a new village. A place where people are consciously making a life away from the big city, close to nature.    Spend a long weekend and work here remotely. Hike the mountain on our doorstep, explore the forests, try your hand at farming, followed by a swim in the river. After all that, take some time to unwind in the local onsen (hot springs). Make new friends, eat and laugh together, and experience a different pace of life. Our story is still unfolding. Come join us!   MOSS BAR, a wine bar that opened of the same day as the hostel, offers about 100 different kinds of natural wine, Hokuriku saké, and Japanese craft whiskey.    The adjacent TAKIGAHARA CAFE offers Japanese curry, mouthwateringly good buckwheat galettes made with seasonal vegetables.
