Now, for check-in, I went to the front desk at Yoshidaya, which had a solid, heavy atmosphere. Here, I received my room key and an explanation of the QR code for the hotel entrance to check-in. I thought the system was good, but it seemed everyone struggled a bit to enter through the hotel entrance. I assumed the automatic door would open when the QR code was waved, but it won't open unless it detects the sensor, which is a drawback. The first floor was quite deserted with no hotel staff present. The lobby on the first floor became a free café and coworking space. On sunny days, it would be nice to enjoy coffee at the terrace seats. There is also a mini table tennis setup, which is interesting and different from regular-size ones. As I headed towards my room and got off the elevator… an old-fashioned atmosphere lingered. The first floor had been renovated well, but the essential guest room floors still needed work. The room was adequately spacious, but the toilet was small, and the washbasin felt old. The ventilation fan was noisy as well. I hope they improve the renovation of the water facilities and the ambiance after getting off the elevator. The bathing area also left something to be desired. The hot water was perfect. While self-roly-poly was fun, it would be better if the bathroom walls had a cohesive aesthetic. There are still areas that need improvement. I thought of it as an evolving guesthouse.
