숙박 시설에서의 경험
I casually visited the town of Yumoto Onsen in Fukushima. The town is dotted with Kokeshi dolls here and there, and the mountain air felt soft and refreshing. I was enveloped in a nostalgic and tranquil atmosphere as soon as I arrived.
I took advantage of the free shuttle service from Fukushima Station to my accommodation. Along the way, the view from the car window included a tapestry of colorful flowers and mountains still capped with snow. Seeing both flowers and snow in the same scenery felt somewhat surreal, leaving a lasting impression.
The accommodation I stayed at was "YUMORI ONSEN HOSTEL," which I found through HafH and had been curious about for a while. While it had the casual look typical of a hostel, once inside, there was a lounge and reading space filled with the warmth of wood, creating a much more soothing atmosphere than I had imagined.
The Wi-Fi was excellent, and I managed to quickly take care of some work while opening my laptop a bit, as well as enjoying a book while sipping coffee. This is what it feels like to be traveling yet still able to work!
I slept in a capsule-type bed that had hints of traditional Japanese style. It was surprisingly spacious, allowing enough room to place my suitcase next to the futon. There was also a safe, adding to my peace of mind during my stay.
The lounge also featured a shared kitchen, where a family appeared to be enjoying cooking, leaving a strong impression. There was an atmosphere where the various ways travelers spent their time naturally blended, making for a very comfortable experience.
Of course, I went to the hot springs in the evening. Compact yet authentic, they thoroughly relaxed me. Dinner was a "Mikoji Rice Soup Set" served at the hostel, with a taste that was gentle and soothing to the body, perfect for a night while traveling.
The next morning, I took a leisurely walk along the cherry tree-lined path by the river. When I ventured close to the waterfall, I suddenly spotted a "Bear🐻 Warning" sign, which made me a bit nervous, but thankfully, I returned safely without encountering any bears! Haha.
I worked a little bit and got thoroughly relaxed. I would love to drop by again when I feel tired.

경사길 양쪽으로 쭉 늘어선 벚꽃길.
꽃눈처럼 내리는 꽃잎 사이를 걸으니, 영화 같은 시간이었어요.
온천 마을의 복고풍 분위기와도 잘 어울렸어요◎
・뱀의 코 (혼구 시)
연못과 정원, 튤립과 모란… 어쨌든 호화로워요.
쇼와 레트로 건물과 봄의 꽃 조합이 아름답습니다.
차를 마시며 여유롭게 시간을 보내기에 딱이에요.
・타카야시키 이나리 신사 (고리야마 시)
빨간 토리이와 벚꽃 조합이 정말 귀여워요.
고지대에 있어서, 벚꽃 사이로 도시 풍경도 잘 보일 수 있었어요~!
・스가카와 모란원 (스가카와 시)
꽃이 피기 시작하는 시기에 방문.
통통한 봉오리도, 그 나름으로 귀여워요.

‘돌아다닌다’는 것이 정말 즐거운 여행이 되었어요.
