[Parking is free] ■ About the room Whether you are a family or a single person, you can relax in a Japanese-style room with a calm appearance, feeling nostalgic like home. ■ Surrounding area Discover the charm of "Enchanted" Takaoka ・Takaoka Daibutsu Takaoka Daibutsu, one of the three largest Buddhas in Japan along with Nara and Kamakura, is located right next to the hotel and is crowded with many people on weekends. This bronze statue of Amitabha is said to have originated in 1745 when the 15th Honorary Superior of the Jodo Buddhist Gokurakuji Temple in Sakashita Town vowed to build a large Buddha and erected a wooden golden Buddha statue with a height of 3 feet and 2 shaku (about 10 m) as a solicitor for his disciple Ryokan. However, it was destroyed by a large fire in 1821. It was rebuilt over a period of 30 years, bringing together the best of Takaoka's traditional copperware manufacturing techniques. Pictures of hell are displayed in the corridor built inside the pedestal, and the head of the burned wooden Buddha sits in the central room. With a total height of 15.85 meters and a weight of 65 tons, it is loved as a symbol of Takaoka. 〈Takaoka City Designated Cultural Property〉 [1 minute walk from the hotel] ・Kanaya Town In 1611, shortly after the construction of Takaoka Castle, Maeda Toshinaga, the second lord of Kaga, summoned seven foundry masters from Kanaya in the western part of Tonami County to Takaoka and gave them land to open a foundry, which was the beginning of Kanaya Town. Toshinaga Maeda generously protected the area by granting him many privileges, such as exemption from taxes and labor, and the foundry industry took root in this area, and it is still popular as the birthplace of Takaoka castings. Today, the 1,000-lattice houses have been carefully preserved, and it has been selected as a traditional building group preservation district for the first time in Japan as a foundry town. On June 20, the anniversary of Toshinaga Maeda's death, the "Goinsai Festival" was held as a gesture of gratitude and gratitude. The "Yagaefu Street Drift" held on the eve of the festival is a gorgeous and fun event with the participation of local men and women of all ages and enthusiasts. 〈Important Traditional Buildings Preservation District〉 [20 minutes walk from the hotel] Feel the nature of Takaoka ・Takaoka Kojo Park Takaoka Kojo Park, which has a vast site of about 210,000 m2 in the center of the city, is the ruins of a castle built in Keicho 14 (1609) by Maeda Toshinaga, the second lord of Kaga, and opened as a park in Meiji 8. The park, which is surrounded by vivid beauty in all four seasons, such as cherry blossoms in spring and autumn leaves in autumn, is also a rare water moat park in Japan, with about 30% of the total area being a water moat, and you can feel the wild taste and the weight of history, which is a bit different from garden parks. In addition, the park is dotted with the "Art Forest" unique to the craft city of Takaoka, museums, nature museums, zoos, civic gymnasiums, Imizu Shrines, etc., and is loved by people as a place of relaxation along with abundant nature. 【5 minutes walk from the hotel】〈Nationally Designated Historic Sites〉〈100 Cherry Blossom Attractions〉〈100 Famous Castles in Japan〉〈100 Historical Parks in Japan〉〈100 Urban Parks in Japan〉 ・Quasi-National Park Ameharu Coast The Amaharu Coast, which was often visited by the poet Iemochi Oban, is a beautiful scenic spot with white sand and pine forests.
