From Ryugen to Ryugon In the summer of 2019, Ryugon was reborn as an inn "Ryugon" to experience the climate of the heaviest snowfall area in Japan. It is an intersection between the fresh nature born from the pure white world, the people who live there, and travelers from all over the world. A place where you can experience the blessings of snow all day long in landscapes, architecture, food, art, activities, events, etc. Indoors, we provide hospitality to enjoy the tranquility of the satoyama throughout the four seasons and spend a relaxing time. Ryugon believes that the buildings that preserve the memory of "Ryugon" and the smiles of the people involved in them are important things that will lead to the future of Snow Country. Every winter, more than 2 meters of snow accumulates, and wild plants sprout in the mountains in the spring when the snow melts. In summer, the blue sky sparkles in the rice paddies, and in autumn, the golden ears of rice sway in the wind. The life and culture of this land have been carried out in such a circumstance of the four seasons.
